It’s officially become another cold winter in Upstate New York. Days where it reaches 32 degrees are starting to feel warm. If you’re struggling to stay toasty and spending too much time at home, check out these great local breweries to stay warm and get you out of the house!

Saratoga:

Treehouse – A new brewery has hit the scene! Treehouse is currently offering beer to go out of their beautiful new building on Route 9. Stop by to take in the beautiful architecture and grab a beer while you’re there. Word on the street is doors will open this March. Fingers crossed we can step inside soon!

Druthers – A staple of the capital region that has its roots right in downtown Saratoga Springs. Tucked into Broadway is an unassuming gateway that leads to the expansive outdoor space, brewery, and pub that is Druthers. Come for the beer stay for the ambience, mac & cheese, and great vibes.

Whitmans – Right in downtown Saratoga you’ll find Whitman’s – a comforting piece of downtown. With a beer hall full of expansive flavor profiles, a food menu meant for sharing and savoring, and a café ready to cure any next day’s tiredness!

South of Exit 15:

Fidens Brewing – Albany’s Fidens Brewery is the perfect place to spend a chilly winter day. They have a spacious taproom with all the best vibes, a new beer every week, and an expansive menu with everything from shareable cheese curds to chocolate beignets.

Unified Beerworks – Right off of exit 9 in Malta you’ll find Unified Beerworks, a brewery offering a large variety of brews, including a peanut butter & banana stout! You’ll also find great mac & cheese and live music on the right evenings. You can even catch a yoga class! The next yoga in the taproom event is February 16th.

The Warbler – This Delmar Brewery specializes in contemporary styles and is loved for their events and vibes. Stop by on a Thursday for their weekly trivia, or join their Albany Home Brewers Club or Silent Bookclub.
